Bédoin

At the foot of the Mont Ventoux, Bédoin is a picturesque provencal village that has always existed to the rhythm of the seasons.

In spring, cherry picking, a speciality of the region (Comtat-Venaissin), has pride of place. Summer is entirely taken up by the tourist season. In autumn, the grape harvests liven up the village and are the source of many conversations. With the winter comes the time for a well earned rest.

Bédoin is a condensed version of Provence and its local produce. As well as cherries, asparagus and truffles are included amongst the local delicacies. And on the surrounding hills, the Bédoin vineyard produces excellent AOC* Côtes du Ventoux red and rosé wines.

In addition, Bédoin is a village that possesses one of the largest communal forests in France. 6300 hectares in total that cover a third of the Mont Ventoux forest massif. Classified as a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco, the Bédoin forest is home to 1200 plant species.

With its gentle slopes above the village, it is above all an excellent playground for hikers and mountain bike enthusiasts.
