Culture and heritage

As well as its climate and art de vivre, Provence appeals due to the richness of its culture.

Art and architecture enthusiasts will relish discovering the prestigious pasts of the provencal towns, from Avignon to Orange and from Gordes to Baux de Provence, as well as the many fortified villages, abbeys, monasteries, etc... testimonies of the long history of the region.

Several famous cultural events are held each year in the region: the Avignon Festival, the Chorégies d'Orange, the Choralies de Vaison la Romaine, Rencontres d'Arles photography festival... most of them taking place in spring and during the summer.

But Provence is also and above all an ambience, an art de vivre and a way of being.

Have an aperitif one evening in the village square of Bédoin, the neighbouring village of Bélézy. Travel along the lavender routes. Enjoy the provencal cuisine in the land of olive oil and Côtes du Ventoux wines.

That's the best way of discovering the extraordinary culture and heritage of the Provence of yesterday and today.
