Fontaine de Vaucluse

It is at Fontaine de Vaucluse that the amazing source of the Sorgue river gushes out, coming straight from the Mont Ventoux and the Monts de Vaucluse. At the foot of a 230 metre cliff, this spring of emerald green water has intrigued men and women since ancient times, from Pétrarque to René Char passing by Boccace.

The most important spring in France (and the fifth in the world), it is calm during summer but wakes up in the spring and autumn. An impressive show that always attracts a large audience.
