35 km from Bélézy, Orange has been a major economic and cultural centre since ancient times.

With its Triumphal Arch and above all its Roman Theatre, the town, like Vaison la Romaine, has preserved a precious testimony to Gallo-Roman civilisation. Unesco did not make a mistake when it classified these two monuments as World Heritage sites in 1981.
